Natural, relaxed, baby led newborn photography in Geelong and surrounds.
One of the things so remarkable about in-home newborn photography is the way it captures something as instantly and intensely beautiful as your bourgeoning love for your baby, while also being deeply and profoundly meaningful - a record of your baby and your personal love story, made in the very place in which you’re falling in love.
Making your photographs at home means we’re able to go at your baby’s pace, slowing down and remaining in the here and now, so that when you look back on the imagery we make you’ll be able to revisit those moments, in memory and feeling, and know it was a time of calm and connection with your divine little love-ling.
Just think - an artful record of those first few exquisite, emotional weeks with baby, so that - even in the overwhelmingly dreamlike sleep deprived haze - like you never need worry you’ll forget how it felt to fall in love.
This is what Tamsin, a Geelong mama who resides in Armstrong Creek had to say about her newborn photography experience with her husband and daughter Scarlett:
It was really important for us to capture newborn photos of our baby girl Scarlett, we wanted to have lasting memories of this precious time. After doing some research, I knew that Michelle and her style was right for us.
Michelle ticked all the boxes with her home sessions, natural and beautiful style, nothing looked too staged and she could make any moment frame worthy.
Our session felt relaxed and comfortable, Michelle was lovely and took the time to get incredible shots at our baby’s pace.
I was over the moon with the end result, Michelle captured our baby beautifully, I couldn’t have asked for more- I’ll treasure our photos and wall art forever and have shared our images with family and friends.
For us the investment was absolutely worth it, I’d love to have another session when Scarlett is a little older too!
Tamsin, Armstrong Creek resident.
Another beautiful thing about documenting your new baby at home is it can happen any time; I’ve made a record with families in baby’s first few days earthside, and I’ve also visited babies who are months old. Due to COVID restrictions, the little dot above was several weeks young before I was permitted to spend a morning in their Armstrong Creek home for their newborn photography, yet just see the sublime result.
Reach out, and we can chat about when is best timing for your baby and family.
Oh, and before I sign off, take a look at the beautiful wall art that resulted from this gorgeous family’s session. (And sometimes I like to make a sneaky bonus portrait when I deliver the goods!).
