Hello! Welcome!
My name is Michelle, and I’m a memory catcher.
I take photographs that show a slice of your family’s story - images that capture you authentically, that celebrate your connections, your family rituals and who your children really are - not what they look like, but what makes them tick, what sets them alight.
I like to shoot in spaces that are meaningful - in your home is my favourite, but I can also join you somewhere that’s important to your family.
This is because I believe very strongly in the importance of home and the role it plays in our lives, in forming our children’s identities, the way it acts as the backdrop for so many of our memories, our sense of childhood and our nostalgia.
A storytelling session is not posed.
I just come and hang out with you while you do normal things - stuff like playing in the backyard, snuggling on the sofa, jumping on the bed, sharing snacks on the deck or doing cartwheels on the lawn.
We chat about this before the day of your session and decide together what activities might be best for YOUR family. I can do some traditional shots at the end if you like (more about that here), but for the most part I just photograph you being your authentic and genuine selves.
It's low pressure and low stakes.
It's slow and chill and completely relaxed.
I take those beautifully ordinary moments, and I make you something meaningful and lasting and precious for you to keep, always.
I'm a memory catcher, that's what I do.
